My partner and I recently stayed at Casas De Pousadouro for a relaxing break. The spacious house had breathtaking views of the Douro River Valley from every room. We loved the unique design with exposed rock and the cozy fire burning stove. The daily delivery of warm, fresh bread for breakfast was a delightful touch. The staff, especially Diana, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, even helping with a rental van mishap. The free kayaks and paddle boards allowed us to explore the river, and the peaceful gardens were perfect for relaxation. We can't wait to return in the future.

The team at Casas de Pousadouro, especially Filipa, were pretty good too ensure a nice stay. The breakfast and complimentary minibar were good surprises. The hotel's proximity to the Douro vineyards added convenience for a day trip. I highly recommend this unique and relaxing retreat.

The trek from the car to the houses was challenging, especially in the rainy season.

During my stay, I took advantage of the free bikes provided by the hotel and set out to explore the surrounding vineyards. It was an absolute delight to pedal through the scenic paths, feeling like a sommelier on a personalized wine-tasting tour.

Airport Distance: The only minor inconvenience I encountered was the distance of the nearest airport, Francisco Sá Carneiro. At a distance of 85 km, it required a bit of extra time for travel.
